Aunty Gina signed me up to my first gym… I started my PT career with a burning desire, promising to one day help Aunty Gina… My upbringing, experiences, and environment, were, and still are motivating factors to be better for those around me.

My purpose is to help others through my own experiences, inspire change for them and their families; so they do not go through what we went through in losing Aunty Gina.

I can’t recommend these guys highly enough. They are the best in the business from my experience, they are genuinely committed to helping you. I started at Personalised Fitness training on their 2 week trial shortly after I turned 40. After 2 years of Covid lockdowns I was not in the best shape, I had lost a lot of confidence. I was at an age where my previous thinking that I was invincible had been challenged by a few injuries and some health scares. As a result, I was avoiding sports or anything too intense, and I developed an anxiety about my health. I have 3 sons and the last thing I wanted them to see was their dad being anxious or being unable to do things with them like I always have done, or even worse not being around at all. When I first saw Jordan he sat me down and listened to where I was at. I was embarrassed, but he was reassuring and made it easy. I told him I wanted to improve my overall health but take it slow so I can build my confidence back up. I have always enjoyed playing sports but I am not good at gyms or working out so I relied on his experience to help put a plan together. I decided to do 2 private sessions a week which although felt like a bigger financial commitment than I was hoping for at the time, I later learned it was small in terms of what I would get out of it. Turning up to my first session I immediately had some anxiety and thought I would not last. But the way Jordan had setup our session I managed to get through it easily and came out feeling great. The second session was even easier. The thing I noticed straight away was that during each session Jordan was identifying issues that I had with previous injuries and my body in general and was changing the way we trained to improve them. It wasn’t something I was expecting but it really helped me understand my body more. Fast forward around 4-5 months on and despite missing some sessions due to sickness and covid I feel so much more confident and have zero regrets in starting with these guys. I have no more anxiety when working out now which is huge. On top of that I feel a lot more mobile and fitter. My boys keep telling me I look great and I keep noticing muscles in places I never had them before. I am no body builder, but I feel great, I feel agile, I feel like I am 30 again. One important change for me has been the focus and value I put on my health. I’ve always taken my health for granted but I’ve now learnt how important it is. We only have one body, it’s the one thing that enables us to do everything in life from playing with our kids and spending time with family, to working and earning an income, or going on life adventures. I will admit I have not perfected my focus yet, but I am in a far better position than I was before I started. I'm also trying to teach my kids the same lessons I have learnt too. What I get from seeing these guys a few times each week has been so valuable; it has impacted my entire life in a positive way, both physically and mentally. They don’t bust my balls or follow a script; they tailor everything to my ability and my goals and have helped me understand the benefits of what we are doing as we do it. Again I can’t recommend these guys enough. If you are looking for best then you have found them, give them a go, you won’t regret it.

The one thing I like about the Personalised Fitness team is they develop a relationship with you and care about you and outcomes. The real reason I keep returning is they're the least gym-like gym I've ever been to with no pretentious members just a friendly social environment you enjoy going to.

With a focus on health, wellness and community the personal trainers have a focus on technique and form over weights and reps. After injury and knee surgery they have adapted a training program to suit my recovery. A fantastic place to train and a fun and inclusive community to help achieve your goals.
